World War a B-17 bomber crashes near the city of Belfast. The plane's dying
rear gunner asks a local to return a ring to a girlfriend back in the States.
Half a century later, a young Belfast man finds the ring, discovers its
history and attempts to track down the gunner's old girlfriend. It turns
out that the girl married the gunner's best friend.
